THE TRUE STORY BEHIND ‘HERE COMES THE SUN’

our life during the outbreak

My wife is an ICU resident doctor and worked in a ‘Death Zone’ hospital in The Bronx under the outbreak.

I had to watch the love of my life fighting the virus without proper PPE or PCR tests, putting her life and our future on the line.

The power of art

Around Easter of 2020, I wrote three posts on Facebook in Hungarian about our life under the COVID surge to ease my frustration. Nearly 900,000 people read the posts and the articles altogether which is nearly 10% of the Hungarian population.

Supplies and donations started to pour in for my wife’s hospital. Not just from Hungarians but Americans too.

the title

This inspired me to write ‘HERE COMES THE SUN’. The title comes from the famous Beatles hit. This was the first song played at the hospital – where my wife worked at the time – right after the doctors could take the first recovered patient off of the vent.

They wanted everybody to know in the ‘Death Zone’ there is hope in this desperate battle.
